All About Fitness
A little bit about myself and what I do in the Tunbridge Wells area - I always had an interest in keeping active from a young age as long as it was something fun that kept me interested. Living in South Devon I was either cycling or hiking up on Dartmoor, snorkelling around the local bays or heading to Cornwall to see if the surf was up! I then spent some time working abroad and it wasn't until I came back to the UK my fitness career began.
It was attending a friends Gym where I started to find my interest and passion in trying to improve my own fitness levels whilst also helping other members trying to reach there own fitness goals . I was then lucky enough to be offered some work at the gym due to being there on most days and training . I took up on my friends offer and also made the decision to go to Exeter College to complete my Fitness Instructor course. I then moved on to complete my Personal training Diploma with Exercise Referrals in London with Lifetime Fitness and eventually found myself moving to Tunbridge Wells.
I then started my own Personal training business “Go Active Fitness” whilst also gaining experience working at an outreach centre for Horder Healthcare in Tunbridge Wells as a Fitness and Rehabilitation Instructor. Here I gained some great experience working along side physiotherapists and clients with various co-morbidities. I also ran various fitness classes there such as Fitness for the over 50’s, Balance and Flexibility, Lower Limb Strength and Stability and classes for Arthritis Action UK and the Pickering cancer group. After moving on from Horder Healthcare I decided to take the leap and start running my own fitness classes aimed at older clients to help improve there general fitness and mobility. I also continue to run exercise classes for Arthritis Action UK and the Pickering Cancer drop in centre in Tunbridge Wells whilst continuing to work as a mobile personal trainer in Tunbridge Wells training clients with various co-morbidities such as Obesity, High blood pressure, Cholesterol and Diabetes, Osteo and Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Copd, and clients who have had Hip or Knee replacements.
